RECONDITIONING PROCESS

The reconditioning process is entirely completed within our 35 000 square-foot, Montreal-based warehouse by a multidisciplinary team of experts consisting of experienced technicians, professional painters, and electro-mechanics. We are also equipped with a professional paint booth to complete the process by ensuring the aesthetic value is also brought back to its original condition..

Selection of used equipment

Our network of partners allows us to have constant access to new, quality, and up-to-date cardiovascular and muscle products.

We only select commercial-grade refurbished products designed for heavy use from established and recognized manufacturers in the fitness industry to ensure parts are available when needed such as Precor, Life Fitness, Star Trac, Schwinn, and Keiser.

Inspection and diagnosis

Once at our facilities, the equipment is tested by our team of experienced technicians.

The consoles, electronic cards, motors, and moving parts are thoroughly inspected to detect any anomalies that may have been caused by previous use.

Replacement of mechanical and electronic parts

Following the inspection, mechanical and electronic parts that fail or show more than 20% wear are automatically replaced.

Kevlar drive belts, treadmill decks, and batteries are systematically replaced on all machines.

Hardware, bearing systems, chains, and pulleys are inspected, cleaned, and replaced as required. Lubrication is also applied to each bearing part to ensure optimal functionality.

Restore and restore the aesthetic components

The frames and plastic covers of the appliances are completely disassembled, inspected, cleaned, and sandblasted in a professional paint booth. In the event that the part cannot be refurbished, we will replace it.

The parts and components of the equipment are then painted in a professional paint room by our team. We use painting processes that guarantee optimal quality and protect your appliances from damage and discoloration caused by the impact, “wear and tear” of previous use.

Testing and final evaluation

Once the refurbishment process is complete, our technicians conduct a series of tests to ensure that each piece of equipment works perfectly. At the end of the final assessment, we guarantee that the following elements will meet the highest industry standards for

Each unit reconditioned by the Tonic Performance team comes with a warranty on parts and labor (see warranty policies). Our team is committed to providing you with the highest quality equipment that will meet your expectations. In case of a breakdown (see inclusions and exclusions), we are committed to offering you a professional and courteous service to resolve the situation as soon as possible. 1-year warranty on service parts and labor* (certain conditions apply)

*All of our certified refurbished units come with a 1-year limited warranty on parts and labor. Our technicians will fully cover service calls within a radius of 150 km of our head office. Our offices are located at 1520 55th Avenue, Lachine, QC, H8T 3J5. In the event that the service call is made outside of this area, we offer, depending on the case and the nature of the problem, technical support via virtual assistance or through a qualified and accredited TP technician. Please contact our service department to confirm the availability of our certified technicians in your area.

In the event that labor work is carried out by a third party other than one of our certified or accredited technicians, you are required to contact Tonic Performance’s Service dept to coordinate the repair work with the third party. Approval must be given prior to the work being carried out in order to benefit from the labor warranty coverage. Subsequently, receipts for the work performed by the third party must also be submitted to Tonic Performance for approval.
